Part-time Content Legal Writer
The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing and maintaining Firmwide and individual attorney marketing collateral materials. Will support the Firm's business development program and assist with overall marketing activities.
Responsibilities include the following:
• Gather information, write, edit, and coordinate hardcopy production and/or electronic posting of Firm, attorney and practice group information, collateral/capabilities materials, and other written communications as assigned.
• Work in conjunction with Marketing Director to identify, develop and execute a strategic messaging platform that builds consistency in our brand communications across products, thought leadership and campaigns -- to be used across all media (web, blogs, publications, etc).
• Stay abreast of Firm and practice group priorities and activities, as well as news and current events relevant to the Firm.
• Work with our attorneys and Marketing Director to strategize and prepare proposals and pitch books in response to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs and client requests for information packets for business development opportunities
Specific Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, English, or related field, with at least 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Law firm or professional services experience desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to present information effectively and to respond to questions from all levels of professional and support staff, clients, and the general public.
• Interpersonal communication skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with partners, attorneys, clients and staff.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with demanding individuals; high level of maturity and confidence necessary to interact with sophisticated internal clients; outstanding attention to detail and creativity; flexibility and persistence; motivation and energy with the ability to work with little supervision and collaborate with other members of the team.
