Robert T. Watson
Mr. Watson has practiced law throughout Kentucky since graduating from the University Of Kentucky College Of Law in 1990. His practice is diverse and he is experienced in commercial and civil litigation in state, federal and appellate courts throughout the state, focusing primarily on municipal liability, public sector defense, civil rights litigation, employment litigation, general insurance defense, corporate and real estate law. Mr. Watson's litigation experience in governmental entity defense includes specific experience in defending local governments, governmental agencies and officials in connection with claims brought against them under both state and federal law, including Section 1983, negligence claims and state constitutional claims, for alleged deliberate indifference to medical needs, excessive force claims, wrongful termination and abuse of process claims, among other claims unique to city and county governments. Mr. Watson has also practiced extensively in the area of insurance defense litigation since graduating from law school to include claims of product liability, medical malpractice, bad faith and general liability claims.
Mr. Watson joins us having served as managing partner of the Louisville office of Landrum & Shouse, LLP where he was recognized by the Kentucky Civil Jury Trial Reporter as one of the most prolific trial attorneys in Kentucky in 2006.
