McBrayer is pleased to announce that Ross Ewing has joined the firm’s Lexington office and will begin on Monday, February 15th. Mr. Ewing’s practice is focused on family law, estate planning and probate. His family law practice covers all issues related to families in transition, from adoptions to pre-nuptial agreements to divorce. He has written and lectured on the unique legal issues facing unmarried couples and he has earned recognition for his exceptional legal writing skills. Mr. Ewing regularly works with mental health professionals on issues involving child custody and he spent over three years advocating for child victims of neglect and abuse.
He received his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2008 and undergraduate degree from UK College of Arts and Sciences in 2005 with a BA in French Literature and a minor in music.
He joins McBrayer after practicing with Gess, Mattingly & Atchison since 2013.
Like all McBrayer attorneys, Mr. Ewing believes strongly in giving back to the community. He has volunteered for the Fayette County Bar Association’s Pro Bono Program, the Kentucky Grandparents as Parents Conference, the Bluegrass Domestic Violence Program, and AIDS Volunteers, Inc. He is often invited to address new attorneys about the importance of community service and civic engagement. Mr. Ewing currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning and chairs its fundraising committee.
