CURRENT OPENING: LEGAL ASSISTANT
LOCATION: LOUISVILLE, KY
Seeking a full-time legal assistant to support litigation attorneys. Position is located in our Louisville office.
The primary responsibility is to proactively provide a high level of legal support to the litigation practice group through quality work.
Responsibilities include:
- Drafting, proofreading, preparing revisions, and redlining documents as directed. Typical documents include operating agreements, resolutions, loan agreements, purchase agreements, opinion letters, checklists, and closing statements.
- Compiling transaction documents, including printing, scanning, and PDF document assembly.
- Preparing and filing corporate, LLC, tax, UCC and real estate documents with the appropriate government agencies.
- Coordinating and/or performing lien and litigation searches and compiling results.
- Communicating with clients and attorneys.
- Organizing meetings and calls internally and externally.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy; creates polished work product
- Problem-solver: Seeks answers or solutions before asking for help
- Strong technology skills and proven ability to learn new programs. Knowledge of redlining programs and NetDocs a plus.

CURRENT OPENING: Legal Billing Clerk, Part-time (20 Hours)
Location: Lexington, KY
Key responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Generates pre-bills for attorney review
- Makes system edits as requested by attorney
- Generates and sends invoices to clients (print and email)
- Uploads and monitors invoices for specific client types (insurance companies, etc.)
- Creates and distributes monthly timekeeper reports
- Trains and supports attorneys and legal assistants with billing software, as needed
- Maintains confidentiality when assigned sensitive projects with lawyers and their clients
Skills of the successful candidate will include:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communications skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Service-oriented, works well within teams
- Good time management skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Familiarity with legal billing software, preferably Rippe & Kingston’s LMS software
- Understanding of electronic billing for insurance clients
- Experience with law firm billing preferred

CURRENT OPENING: LITIGATION PARALEGAL

Seeking a full-time litigation paralegal to support multiple attorneys in our Lexington, KY office.
In addition to possessing strong technology skills, including command of Microsoft Office Suite, this individual must be confident, highly motivated, and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, and project a positive and empathetic attitude. The ideal candidate works well independently and possesses excellent organizational, written & verbal communication and time management skills.
Candidate must have experience answering discovery, interrogatories and request for production of documents. Candidate will also be expected to perform the following: summarize medical records, prepare routine motions to compel discovery or extend discovery, as well as claim file review and redactions.
The successful candidate is proactive and possesses a high degree of professionalism and demonstrates initiative and follow-through while managing multiple, competing deadlines.
